Field Study

Crocodilians

  1. Studying nesting, territorialism, conflicts, threats in the South Pacific, Indonesia, New Guinea, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, USA, East Timor and Australia’s east coast and north Queensland.
  2. Australia Zoo’s Croc Rescue Unit – please see site here.
  3. Previous involvement with QPWS East Coast Croc Management program in the late 1980s.
  4. Studied since 1970

Lizards

  1. Merten’s Water Monitors, Perentie, Canopy Goannas, Rusty Monitors, Spencer’s Monitors, Lace Monitors, Pygmy Monitors, Sand Goannas, Mangrove Monitors, Land Mullet, Yakka Skinks, Shingleback Skinks, Blue/ Pink Tongues, Dragon species, Fijian Crested Iguanas, Komodo Dragons, Marine Iguanas.
  2. Studying the majority of these species since the 1960s.

Snakes

  1. Pythons - Carpet, Scrub, Green, Woma, Children’s Python group, Black-headed.
  2. Fierce, Red-bellies, Brown, Death Adders, Taipans, Tiger, Sea, King Brown, Dunmalls, Trees, Freshwater etc.
  3. Rattlesnakes, Cobras, Vipers.

Mammals

  1. Dingoes, Koalas, Macropods, Devils, Quolls, False Water Rats, Tasmanian Wombats, Gliders, Possums, Camels, Pigs, Cats, Foxes,  Cane Toads.

Birds

  1. Emus, Cassowary, Birds of Prey, Black Cockatoos, Brolgas, Jabirus, Parrot.
